This policy explains how Protein Calculator & Tracker handles information. The app is a calculator and food log that runs on your phone. It does not have an account, advertising, or a network connection, and it does not send your entries to the developer or to a server.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to the Android app Protein Calculator & Tracker. It is written for people who install and use the app. The app is a general adult planning tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the information you enter, and only on that device:

• Profile details you type into the calculator, including age, a sex reference, optional height, weight, activity, and fitness goal. Age, sex, and height are stored with the profile. They do not change the protein calculation.
• Preferences, including theme, measurement system, onboarding completion, whether to show a recommended range, whether to prefer the midpoint, a custom grams-per-kilogram factor, a saved daily goal, a default meal, and favorite foods.
• Foods you add, meal logs, daily goal history, and past calculator sessions. A log can include the date you pick, the time, the meal, the food name, the serving, protein grams, and an optional note.

Seeded foods that ship with the app are approximate examples. They are not an account and they are not sent anywhere.

None of this information is an account identifier. The developer does not receive it.

Information the app does not collect

The app does not collect, transmit, or sell personal information. In particular:

• It does not request Internet access, or access to your contacts, location, photos, storage, or microphone.
• It does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting services, billing, or account sign-in.
• It does not read your contacts, location, photos, clipboard, or wallpaper image. If Android 12 or newer supplies wallpaper-based colors for the theme, that coloring stays on the device.
• It does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.

Sharing that you start

Two actions leave the app only because you start them:

• Share a result. The Android share sheet opens. You choose the app or person who receives the text. The developer does not receive that share.
• Export or import a CSV file. You pick the file with the system file picker. The app does not request broad access to your storage. An imported file is read so the log can be saved on the device. A malformed file is rejected and does not replace your existing log.

Backup and transfer

Android backup is turned off for this app. The local database and preferences are excluded from cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from that device.

How you can delete information

In Settings you can:

• Clear tracking history
• Clear calculation history
• Reset app data, which removes goals, logs, custom foods, calculation history, and settings stored by the app on that device

Seeded example foods remain after a reset because they are part of the app. Uninstalling the app removes the rest.

Health and nutrition information

Weight, goals, and protein logs are information about your body and eating. The app keeps them on the device so you can calculate and track a protein target. They are general planning estimates, not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a prescription. The developer does not use them to make decisions about you, because the developer never receives them.

Security

The information stays in the app’s private storage on your phone. No account password is involved, because there is no account. Protect the device with a screen lock if you do not want someone who has the phone to open the app and see the log.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will change, and the updated text will be available in the app under Settings and in the public copy of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means the updated policy applies to that version.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact method shown on the Google Play listing for Protein Calculator & Tracker. There is no account to update and no server copy of your log to request, correct, or delete. Deleting the information is done on the device, as described above.
